Simon Muir, UK. Well I finally did it. I made it to Alyeska after years of saying I would go I actually did. I stayed at the Alyeska Prince Hotel and was spoilt rotten. The hotel has it's own tramway that I caught each morning straight to the top of the resort before cruising down the piste's around Chair 1. My all time favourite trail was Silvertip, from the top of Chair 6 you can wind across the bowl and all the way down the mountain to the day lodge area and Chair 4. A must do. The resort has really varied terrain, lots for intermediates like me as well as moguls and really steep extreme outback heli skiing areas. It doesn't look very big on the map but in actual fact it is very large. I would thoroughly encourage anyone to go to Alyeska, it makes for a truly memorable vacation.
