Aspen Highlands extending skiing and snowboarding season

Aspen Snowmass, Colorado has made the decision to extend Aspen Highland's season for one week. The mountain will now close on 8th April instead of 1st April due to strong accommodation bookings and terrific snow conditions, there is still more than six fee of snow in the Highland Bowl.

Rich Burkley, vice president, mountain operations, Aspen Skiing Company said "Highland Bowl has the best skiing in the state, if not the country, right now...Combine that with strong occupancy forecasts and no immediate need for lift or trail work on the mountain this spring, and it seems everything is lined up for this extension. It may not be the power of four, but the power of three isn't bad either."

Buttermilk is scheduled to closing on 1st April with Snowmass and Aspen Mountain scheduled to close on 15th April. Currently the skiing and snowboarding conditions are excellent with fresh snow still falling.
