Zermatt cancels Freefall Winter Mountain Bike Downhill Competition
Zermatt, Switzerland was forced to cancel the first Freefall Winter Mountain Bike Downhill Competition due to heavy snowfalls and adverse weather conditions. Over 100 competitors from throughout Europe where planning on taking part in the race that consisted of a chinese downhill (everyone starting at once) from the top of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise down to the village of Zermatt, in total a whopping 2,222 vertical meter decent!The race has been rescheduled for next year. Currently 28km of trails are open with good skiing and snowboarding conditions.
