Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk Opening for the season

Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk, Colorado, are opening for the season on Saturday 9th December. Currently Aspen Highlands has 50 inches of snow and Buttermilk has 35 inches.

Aspen Snowmass consists of 4 mountains; Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk.

Aspen Highlands offers challenging back country terrain for hardcore skiing and snowboarding as well as steep trails and wide cruisers, perfect for a fresh powder day! Highlands Bowl is the valleys premier advanced terrain and is a magnet for those wishing to test themselves

Buttermilk is for beginners and intermediates, the wide open gentle tree lined runs make it the perfect resort to learn to ski or snowboard. Its main claim to fame is as the home to one of the world’s best terrain parks and the ESPN winter X games.
