The Canyons are gearing up for a great Opening Day

The Canyons have received 11.5 inches of fresh snow in the past 48 hours with 20 inches expected to fall before opening day on Saturday 18th November! A powerful winter storm is crossing Utah currently ensuring a great weekend of skiing and snowboarding for all! Currently the summit base snow depth is 25 inches, mid mountain base snow depth is 18 inches.

The Canyons have spent $10 million on improvements for the 2006-2007 season, a new lift the DreamCatcher will open up 200+ additional acres of new terrain, the Tombstone Express chairlift has gone from a quad to a six seater enabling faster mountain access, the Cabriolet lift from the carpark to the base area has received 12 extra cabins which will increase its capacity by 46% and the on mountain dining has been revamped with 175 extra seats added to the popular mid mountain Red Pine Lodge.
