New Tram at Jackson in 2008
The world famous red Tram at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, currently due to close in October 2006, will be replaced by a new larger tram by the start of the 2008 winter season.Michael Berry, the President of the National Ski Area Association states..."This huge investment by JHMR ownership to build a new tram stands alone in our industry. The tram at Jackson Hole is iconic. It is recognized around the world as a lift that accesses some of the most spectacular terrain in North America. It is beloved by locals and sought after by destination visitors."
There will be an increase in passengers by 100 per cabin resulting in an extra 600 passengers per hour. For all those who know what the current wait is like at the bottom of the tram in 2 feet of fresh snow that passenger increase will be fantastic!
