Eagles Nest is Australia's highest resturant and is open for dinner on Thursday and Saturday nights. Guests ride Australia's only gondola to the restaurant located at the top of the Kosi Chairlift 600 meters above the Village offering views across a 200 kilometer radius. The cost for a four course gourmet dinner and a return gondola ride is $89 per person.
Thredbo Snow Sports offer guided back country tours to Dead Horse Gap, Ramshead Range and Mt Kosciuszko. Skiers and snowboarders can experience the thrill of skiing and snowboarding on unmarked off piste terrain and virgin powder fields with an expert guide. The terrain is suitable for strong intermediate level and above skiers and snowboarders. The price of the back country tours are $610 per person for a full day tour and $345 per person for a half day tour.
Thredbo is home to Australia's longest flare run. Every Saturday night the Thredbo Snow Sports School instructors ski and snowboard down the 3 kilometre long Supertrail carrying coloured flares as a welcoming gesture for new visitors. When they reach the Village a fireworks display lights up the night sky. The flare run is visible from all accommodation in the village.
Toyota Guest Services at Thredbo host daily mountain tours meeting at 11am at the top of the Gunbarrel Express Chairlift. The hosts know the resort intimately and will introduce skiers and snowboarders to a few local secret powder stashes. The tours are free with the purchase of a lift pass and open to intermediate level and above snow riders.
The Thredbo Leisure Centre has a 25 meter and a 50 meter swimming pool, a spa pool, squash courts and aerobics classes. Take the kids for a play on the waterslides and the floating obstacle course in the 25 meter pool. The centre is open every day of the week from 8am to 7.30pm. A swimming pool and waterslide ticket costs $7.80 per adult and $5.80 per child.
