Mt Hutt Accommodation
Mt Hutt has no on-mountain accommodation; the nearest accommodation is in the town of Methven a 30 minute drive away. Methven has accommodation in hotels, lodges and B and Bs. Shuttle buses operate throughout the day from Methven to and from Mt Hutt.
Methven Accommodation
The luxury Dynasty Methven Resort has 50 stylish guest rooms all with ensuites and tea/coffee facilities. The resort has three outdoor hot pools, an in-house restaurant and two bars.
The Pinedale Backpacker Lodge has double rooms with ensuites, family rooms and dormitory rooms. The lodge has a large communal lounge room, fully equipped kitchen, games room, guest laundry, ski storage room and free car parking. The Lodge also has a two bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, lounge and private garden.
The economical Canterbury Hotel; referred to by the locals as the Brown Pub has 10 single, twin, double, triple and quad hotel style rooms. It has three shared bathrooms, a communal lounge, two popular bars and an in-house restaurant.
The Breckenridge Lodge has comfortable rooms all with ensuites and electric blankets. The lodge has a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, large communal lounge and bar and complementary breakfasts.
The lovely B & B Powderhouse Country Lodge is a five minute walk from the town centre in a restored Edwardian homestead. It has luxurious rooms with king sized beds, a glass atrium spa, a ski and snowboard storage and drying room and delicious hot breakfasts.
