Les Arcs has 4 separate pedestrian only Villages all named after their different altitudes; Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000. All the villages have accommodation in self-catering apartments, hotels and chalets.

Free shuttle buses operate between the 4 villages throughout the day and into the evenings.
Les Arcs 1600 was the original Les Arcs Village; it is the smallest and quietest of all four Les Arcs Villages. It has 4,190 beds and 30 sports shops, food stores, restaurants and bars. Manmade snow ensures the return slopes to the Arc 1600 village remain open during the entire winter season.

The Pierre & Vacances Premium Les Alpages de Chantel apartments have one, two and three bedroom apartments sleeping up to eight guests. The ski in ski out complex has modern apartments with fully equipped kitchenettes, dining tables and spacious lounge rooms with flat screen TVs and wireless internet. The highest Village Les Arc 2000 is located at the foot of the Aiguille Rouge. It is an energetic village with accommodation in self-catering apartments and hotels. Shops, restaurants and bars are scattered throughout the village. Don't think that you have to be a great skier or snowboarder to stay at Arc 2000. There are both gentle beginner slopes and advanced slopes that access the village.

The large town of Bourg St Maurice sits at the base of Les Arcs. The Arc-en-Ciel funicular train accesses Arc 1600 in just 7 minutes. The funicular train departs behind the Bourg St Maurice Train Station operating continuously throughout the day. The train is free with the purchase of a valid lift ticket.
Bourg St Maurice has around 150 shops; large supermarkets, speciality food stores, gifts and souvenir shops, discount clothing outlets and skiing and snowboarding equipment stores.
