The naturally extreme terrain of La Grave - La Meije ensures the area is unlikely to develop into a mass market destination resort. The small and traditional La Grave – La Meije Village has no large five star hotels rather small comfortable three and two star hotels and chalets exuding charm that many of the lager resorts have lost.
The 3 star Hotel les Chalets de la Meije is centrally located within the village 150 meters from the lift base area. The hotel has double rooms, suites and small family chalets. It has an in-house restaurant, communal lounge and bar, internet access, a games room, undercover car parking and a sauna and spa.
The 2 star Hotel Castillan Hotel has cosy rooms with satellite televisions, wireless internet and ensuites. The hotel has an in-house restaurant, communal lounge and bar, a heated swimming pool, sauna and a games room.
La Grave – La Meije has many self-catering apartments and chalets available to rent. Most are centrally located and sleep from two to twelve guests with full kitchens, lounge rooms and bathrooms. Staying in an apartment or chalet can be quite economical as guests have their own kitchen eliminating the expense of dining out every night.
Les Chalets de la Grave can sleep two to ten guests and have fully equipped kitchens, open fireplaces, comfortable lounges and sundecks. The chalet complex has a bar, hot tub, sauna and swimming pool and is just 100 meters from the town centre.
The Hotel des Alpes otherwise known as The Skiers Lodge is a 5 minute walk from the lift base area. It has comfortable double and triple rooms, an in-house restaurant, a funky bar, large cosy lounge room with an open fireplace and an outdoor sun terrace. The staff at The Hotel des Alpes offer guided off piste skiing and snowboarding tours on the challenging La Grave- La Meije terrain.
